The... read more service right from the start was great from all the staff that we spoke to. They were genuinely friendly and the service was spot on. We had some traditional pub grub which was lovely and the portion sizes were decent, especially for the price which was reasonable. It was unusually busy for around 3pm when we went, with a large hen do and a group playing pub golf all turned up at once. But everyone got served very swiftly and no one was stood around for long. Would definitely go back again!

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made you feel like a truly valuable customer.

Tastiest mulled wine I’ve ever had, and the food was a very generous portion. Definitely recommend a visit here.

We had our young baby with us and...they were very accommodating. They warmed up his food and never at any point did we get the impression he wasn’t welcome (which sometimes in a pub setting on a Friday early evening you can feel a bit like they are glaring at you to get out) I had the lasagne and I have to say it was the best lasagne I’ve had from a pub..   Went here for lunch and ordered from main menu. It is on the Meerkat Meals offer which is why we thought we'd try it.

Vegan burger was great, not dry like some are! Apparently the chicken pie was fantastic, the best my mum had ever had apparently.

It was great value as we had 2 for 1 but even without the offer it would have been great value for money.

Totally recommended. Will definitely be back.

The Sunday dinner was not a disappointment lots of veg and meat! We foolishly ordered pudding at the same time as many times been disappointed by portions but these guys don’t want you to go hungry!!
Pub was lovely and clean and must be a popular place with regulars as tables were reserved.
Would visit again if in the area!
